ENGRAVED Antique Mid-1800s Back Action PERCUSSION Self Defense Belt Pistol
Description: ENGRAVED Antique Mid-1800s Back Action PERCUSSION Self Defense Belt Pistol With FLORAL SCROLL ENGRAVING Here we present antique Back Action Percussion Pistol, manufactured in the mid-19th Century. A back action lock is one in which the operating part of the lock is behind the hammer or cock. This lock was popular on percussion guns made in St. Louis, New York, California, Ohio, England and Belgium. This pistol would have resided in the belt or holster of a man to be primarily used for self-defense during the mid-1800s. This pistol is large enough to make someone think twice before bothering the carrier. This example features a chambering of .28 caliber with an octagon barrel. The lock is lightly engraved with a scroll motif. The wooden stock has an attractive hardwood finish, which is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. The overall condition is good. Strong action. The hammer hood has a missing chip. Good bore for its age. Solid wood. Nicely engraved lock. The barrel finish has matured to a smooth dark brown patina. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 8-1/4 inches. Caliber: .28 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1500 #247428 Price: $1,500.00 Buy Now Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
