1800s ENGRAVED Antique PERCUSSION BELT PISTOL Self Defense .65 Caliber Mid-19th Century CONCEAL & CARRY Gun
Description: 1800s ENGRAVED Antique PERCUSSION BELT PISTOL Self Defense .65 Caliber Mid-19th Century CONCEAL & CARRY Gun Here we present an antique Engraved Percussion Belt Pistol, made circa the 1850s. This type of pistol was very popular from the 18th and well into the 19th Centuries in the United States, as well as overseas. They were of course made primarily for self-defense, especially in cities or traveling around the countryside. This mid-sized self-defense pistol would have been most at home tucked into one’s belt or in the coat pocket of anyone in a busy city like New York or Philadelphia during the tumultuous times of the mid-1800s. As mentioned, this was of course made primarily for self-defense, and very well would tell stories if it could. Much happened in the United States and abroad during this period. Its gaping .65 caliber “manstopping” bore would have been quite the shock for the ne’er do wells roaming the big city streets. The overall condition is good. Original Damascus twist pattern in the barrel with patina throughout. The action will hold half-cock but not full-cock. The cap screw for the hammer is absent. The bore is smooth and dim. The stock is solid with nice checkering. Ramrod absent. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 5-1/2 inches. Caliber: .65 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1200 #247692 Price: $1,200.00 Buy Now Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
