Naval French Boarding Pistol

Description:
A French or Belgium made fintlock Boarding pistol  with a lanyard ring is the base . This model has a good working lock and a shower of sparks from the frizzen. Action works well and the French walnut stock is good with the escheceon plate on the right side having some wood cracks from banging out and banging in of the wedge at that point, However the wood is stable and won't fall out of place. Measuring about 15 1/2" overall and the round barrel is 9" long, with a smooth bore of about .68 cal. typical of French Weapons from the pre-Rev. War to the early 19th century. The brass furniture is mellow mustard color. Overall a nice workimng gun.
