RARE Post-Civil War Antique C.H. BALLARD DERINGER .41 RF Single Shot Pistol One of only a Few Thousand Made!
Description: RARE Post-Civil War Antique C.H. BALLARD DERINGER .41 RF Single Shot Pistol One of only a Few Thousand Made! Here we present an antique C.H. Ballard Single Shot Deringer, made circa 1870, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Charles H. Ballard made significant contributions to the firearms industry by designing, patenting, and producing a .41 rimfire caliber derringer with a unique latching system. The latching system was patented in 1867 by Ballard and was also later licensed by Marlin! Production of the derringer commenced around 1870, with estimates suggesting that only a few thousand units were manufactured, and these were further divided into a limited number of variations. The pistol was designed to be a tiny but potent self-defense tool, being only 5 inches long and carrying one shot of .41 caliber rimfire ammunition. Its tip-up barrel and automatic extractor made loading and unloading easy. The overall condition is fine. Excellent action. Quite a bit of original blue is present on the barrel. Bright bore. Markings are legible. Solid grips with average evidence of use. This example is numbered “535”. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 2-7/8 inches. Caliber: .41 Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1350 #247092 Price: $1,350.00 Buy Now Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
