Rare Antique Remington Vest pocket Pistol in .22RF short

Rare Antique Remington No 1 .22RF short Vest pocket Pistol . Produced in the 1860's
This is a very rare first yeart run Pistol which did not contain any barrel markings. Later models had the company name and patent dates. Serial number is located under the barrel and under the left grip. It has a custom order brass saw handle grips.

Remington Vest pocket pistol Serial #990, .22 RF, 3 ¼" barrel.
Ciondition: 3 ¼" barrel with a good bore showing light pitting througout. Saw handle special order brass gripps are in excellent condition. The metal surface on receiver and barrel are in very nice condition. Most of the original blue is gone with faint traces remaining. Mechanically fuctions very well wih a strong hammer spring. To load this pistol you pull the hammer back to full cock then depress the hammer to load ammo. The current condition of the item listed has been described to the best of my ability . Please examine the photos , text thoroughly and make sure to ask any and all questions
A hand crafted display box and a box of antique .22 short ammo included for displaying with this rare nce looking pistol .

Despite its age, this pistol is in very good condition. It's a nice addition to any antique firearm collection or for those who appreciate a classic piece of history and historically significant firearm from the late 19th century.
