We are pleased to present this historical mid 1800’s German Parlor pistol in .22 cal. rim fire. Registered to the “J.B.” patent of 1855 and stamped accordingly. This would have been a prize for competing in the “VOGUE” Parlor shootings of the day. European aristocrats were constantly trying to upstage one another with their latest and finest “Parlor Pistols”. This one is exceptional with its lever action tipping barrel of an impressive 11” long! The overall length of this piece is 16” and the condition is superb for a piece pushing 175 years old. Bears the “B” U (German) proof mark on the right side of the frame just ahead of the chamber. The target trigger has a set screw for adjusting the trigger pull (hair trigger). The grips are solid hand checkered walnut and in beautiful original condition. The frame is engraved and exhibits a nicely aged silver patina that has not been messed with over the years. The barrel retains almost 100% of the original bluing. The bore is exceptionally fine and the mechanics are absolutely perfect in every respect. It would be hard to upgrade on this high-grade piece of distinction. This is a pre-1898 antique piece produced in the mid 1800’s. Pre 98’ arms are skyrocketing in value because of their unique designs, quality of construction, and rarity. Once they are absorbed into the collector’s market they are basically “GONE”.
