Circa 1840s SCARCE Liege Proofed HORSEMAN’S .36 Percussion KNIFE PISTOL
Pistol/Knife Combo w/ DAMASCUS BARREL & HORN GRIPS
Description: Circa 1840s SCARCE Liege Proofed HORSEMAN’S .36 Percussion KNIFE PISTOL Pistol/Knife Combo w/ DAMASCUS BARREL & HORN GRIPS Here we present an antique Liege Proofed Percussion Horseman’s Pocket Knife Pistol made circa the 1840s in Liege, Belgium. This unique knife gun features a 3-1/4 inch folding blade and chambered in .36 caliber percussion with a Damascus barrel. There is an ELG proof mark on the Damascus barrel. This is a fairly rare collector’s piece and is described by Gordon Frost in his book “Blades and Barrels”. Single and double-barrel knife/pistol combinations like this are fairly uncommon. Most date to the 1840s and 1850s, when a lot of people still didn’t trust the newfangled revolvers or even pepperboxes. With the exception of some made in England, most carried no makers’ markings at all. Belgium and Germany were the main source of these types on the European Continent. The overall condition is very good. Original Damascus print on the barrel. The action is excellent. The bore is smooth and dim. The horned grip scales are in good condition. There is a hairline crack at the rear of the right panel. The blade is in good condition. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3-1/2 inches. Caliber: .36 Percussion Blade: 3-1/4 inches. Grips: Horn Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2500 #244519 Price: $2,500.00 Buy Now Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
