.54 CALIBER PERCUSSION PISTOL
Description: U.S. Model 1847 Percussion Pistol manufactured by HASTON & CO. of Middletown, Connecticut, in 1851. This pistol has a patina barrel, lock and swivel ramrod. The barrel band/side plate, trigger guard, buttcap and back strap are brass. The stock is oil-finished black walnut. The lock plate has the first style marking which consists of "U.S./H.ASTON&CO" stamped in two lines ahead of the hammer and "MIDDTN/CONN./1851" stamped in three vertical lines behind the hammer. The left stock flat is faintly stamped with the Ordnance final inspection mark which consists of the script initials "WAT" in an oval, But is very faint outline. Barrel is marked "U.S./JH/P" and has the date "1851" on top tang. Has an 8.5" barrel with bore showing corrosion. Buyer pays $20.00 shipping to lower 48 states.
