"Very Fine Pair of Percussion Pistols by Nicholas Noel Boutet .60 Cal (AH6177)
Description: "Made circa 1830. 60 caliber with 10" barrels. Nicholas Noel Boutet was the finest French gunsmith of his time and possible ever. These pair of pistols were made towards the end of his career and were made in percussion. The barrels are swamped and have gold inlaid. The barrels are hand inscribed “Boutet, Director Artiste" and “Manufacture a Versailles. The locks also have the “Boutet/ Director Artiste" marking.
