Listed here is a early 1800's British New Land Pattern flintlock pistol. I has all original wood with brass fittings, including trigger guard with extended tang, foreend block and cudgel butt. The overall length is 15 1/2" with a 9" round steel barrel. It is "Tower" marked on the tail of the lock. The lock is marked with a Crown GR. There is a small broad arrow located under the flash pan. There are barrel proof marks on the left side towards the rear. There is a faint "JN" on the left side of the stock which could be the owner's initials or shopkeeper mark. The appears to have been a repair done to the stock above the trigger guard as evidenced by small pins. The overall condition is very good with an even patina to the metal. It is missing the top to the "corkscrew" and original flint.
