<<<>>>    A brace (pair)  of English proofed brass barrellled Naval flintlock pistols with 9" barrel and two proofs of an anchor and crossed scepters, The bore measures inside diameter of about >  .47 or .45 cal. Acrions and hammers are matched and both work well. There is foliate engraving on the hammer and lock plates. Furnitue is simple brass decoation. The stocks are what appears to be French walnut. Both have a wooden hardwood ram-rod. Intiguing pair of smaller form belt or sash pistol matched. Overall measurement is about 14" overall. I haven;t seen this type before, with no makers name seen. One pistol,has a sliver of wood missingat the muzzle on the left side near the end of the barrel. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith  before  shooting.
