Francotte Pinfire Double Action E. Lefaucheux M Brevette Revolver

Description:
Otogon barrel is 4", original ejector rod operates correctly. Unknown caliber.
This pistol dry fires and cylindar rotates with trigger pull. Interior of the barrel has corrosion.
Has about 40-50% original bluing, does not appear to have had any restoration work done.
Engravings are clear and sharp. Wooden checkered grips are well preserved with little abrasion.
Loop and ring securely attached to base of grip, appears to be original metal work with nice patina.

E. LEFAUGHEUX Mr Brevette engraved left side of octogon barrel
Factory engraved trigger guard, metal strip around wooden checkered grips.
Serial number on left side below cylindar; C AF stamped opposite the serial number
Cylindar has several stamps: E LG with a star below inside an oval

The Story
This pistol was found at an 30 years ago in the small town of Klamath Falls, Oregon.
After some research it was found that Francotte revolvers were ordered and imported by the Federal government
for the use of the calvery mostly in the western theater. While we cannot substantiate 'the 
story', it's a good story, none the less.
