Here we present an antique Engraved British All Metal Percussion Pocket Pistol made circa the mid-1800s possibly in London, England. This little self-defense pistol would have been most at home in the pocket of anyone in the busy cities of Europe during the 1800s. This pistol is small, light and simple. This is a neat old pistol and one can easily imagine the sight of its gaping bore would certainly be a deterrent to would be scoundrels. It was of course made primarily for self-defense, especially in cities or traveling around the countryside.

All metal pistols such as this are quite scarce, most makers opting for wooden grips and stocks. This is a smaller pistol with a nice weight to it.
The overall condition is good. Original patina. The engravings remain clear. The action is strong. The bore is dim and well-rifled.
