Scarce Allen & Thurber Single Shot Side Hammer Percussion Target Pistol

Description:
Manufactured from the late 1840s to the 1850s, only a few hundred made. Brass blade front sight and adjustable notch rear sight, which extends back past the hammer to the adjustment screw. The left barrel flat is marked "ALLEN & THURBER / WORCESTER / CAST-STEEL". Fitted with a finger rest trigger guard and a pair of smooth WALNUT bag shaped grips. Serial Number 34, has an 8 inch part octagon barrel. ALL IN Very Good Condition, .41 Caliber, . Mechanically Excellent... (this is the smaller model)
