With a grip width of only .9 the XD-S 4 is billed by Springfield Armory as being Noticeably Unnoticeable. It shares several of the XD models features including its polymer frame fiber optic front and dovetail rear sights and forged steel barrel and slide in a Melonite finish. This single stack semi-automatic pistol is distinguished by its pre-set trigger and disassembly fail-safe. The 45 ACP has a 51 capacity and weighs 23.5 ozs the 9mm has a 71 capacity and weighs 25 ozs. The XD-S 4 may be fitted with a Mid-Mag X-Tension magazine for increased capacity and better grip over its flush fitting one.
