Synopsis: Beautiful Early Swiss Military SIG P49, High Polish, Holster Description: This early SIG P49 is an original finish all matching pistol, 9mmP, with the early hammer group that does not have a half cock. Standard single action pistol with 4.75” barrel and drift adjustable front and rear sight. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release on the front of trigger guard. Disassembly shows a matching, original hammer group with no half cock. Fitted with serrated walnut grips secured with fire blued screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with an original high-polish magazines and a Swiss military holster dated "50" (1950). Condition: VG-EXC bright original salt blue with holster wear as expected from a pistol that has seen light field use, most of the wear at front of rails. No suggestion of touch-up. Comparable condition grips, and original finish high-polish magazine. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+ holster, with scattered scuffs and staining as photographed. Very nicely manufacturer marked and dated.
