Up for sale is a Remington Rand M1911A1.
This pistol is in very high condtion and pistol wears its original light grey parkerized finish typical of the Remington Rands. The pistol presents very "crisp" and does not show the usual greenish tint caused by 80 years of gun oil and grease. It was apparently kept very clean and dry for many years. The High Standard barrel is properly marked HS and P proofed. The feed ramp is correctly polished white.
This is a hard to beat example of a WW2 M1911A1.
The barrel pin is not staked, this would have been accomplished by any military armor upon receiving into a unit. Which leads me to believe it is un-issued.
All markings are present and clear.
Truly a remarkable find and would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
