Remington Rand 1911A1 Pistol Second slide address 1943 With 100 rds Matching 1943 EC Mil surplus ammo

Description:
This is a unique package featuring a Remington Rand 1911 2nd slide Address Serial # 928256 manufactured in 1943. Also included in this package is 100 rounds of original GI Ammunition head stamped 1943 and was repacked in 1944 by the US government. it was Manufactured in the Evansville Ordnance Plant (Chrysler), Evansville, OH. This plant has it's own unique story from WWII as well. Matching early correct period grips without the reinforcement circles around the screw holes. United States property on the correct side of the frame along with the crossed cannons just behind the grip on the right side of the receiver. It also has the "P" stamps and inspection stamps on the left side ans on top of the slide. Barrel has a shinny bore with plenty of rifling. The included magazine is period correct and is "R" stamped for the WWII magazine manufacturing company "Risdon". The Du-lite finish shows proper wear from use from at least one conflict and possibly three. Acquired from a Marine veteran's estate who faithfully served in Vietnam. My sincere thanks go out to all our honor veterans!
