Absolutely Beautiful Near Mint Colt 1911 “Black Army" Pistol. Made in 1918. .45 ACP caliber in the prime range for the Black Army production. The “Black Army" name refers to the dark blue, almost black colored finish that was produced during WWI. This gun is rated at 98%+ of the original blue. Grips are very sharp and are free of cracks and chips, but do show some handling wear. The left hand side of the slide has a spot of pitting along the top edge. Absolutely beautiful Colt Black Army!
