Scarce High Standard, Victor Slant Grip, German, 2460575, FB01278
Description: Synopsis: The High Standard Victor with slant grip is considered to be a real prize for High Standard collectors. It is estimated that approximately 600 of these pistols were assembled between 1973-1974, many of them earmarked for European sale, where buyers were especially attracted to its 'Luger-like' silhouette, this particular gun having been sent to Germany. Description: This standard configuration Victor, cal. .22 LR, with slant grip, was made in High Standard's last production run of this variation, dating to October 1974. It has a 5.5 inch barrel having a solid aluminum rib and target sights. Usual model and caliber on left side, with the High Standard Hamden address on the right side. Right side of slide and frame with matching serial numbers. As true for the Trophy grade pistols, the trigger and safety were gold plated. Fitted with factory counterweight and usual checkered grips with left panel having a thumbrest. Uniformly blued magazine with 5 and 10 indicator markings and 'Hi Standard' on base. Scattered Eagle/N proofs that were applied upon its importation to Germany. Condition: Near excellent with a few scattered handling marks and slight thinning of the front/backstrap. Comparable condition grips and magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Truly a "trophy" for a High Standard collector, especially interesting in having the added German proofs! ~~Insured shipping fee of $75; most packages shipped using FedEx 2nd Day.~~ Price: $3,495.00 Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: High Standard Serial Number: 2460575 Caliber Info: .22 Long Rifle Contact Seller |
