Shiva Ki Exceedingly scarce Damascus Tanto, Woolly Mammoth Tusk Tip handle, mint condition, 1979 production
Description: Shiva Ki ivory and woolly mammoth tusk tip on a large Damascus Tanto, 1979 production. Shiva Ki is a Louisiana knifemaker who makes his own Damascus, and sold his first knife in 1978. 40.0 ounces. 21-1/2 inches overall. 12 inch blade. 5/16 inch thick. Damascus steel blade. Front blade etch: SHIVA . The blade bears the extremely scarce Imperial Palace stamp Japanese Mon or "Kamon" crest. Only the royal family can use this stamp on their blades. Armor peircing tip,(see photo # 3). Damascus guard. No sheath was ever made for that knife. Never used, sharpened, or carried. This is another seldom seen true vintage Shiva Ki knife from another era. NOTE: Special Limited Numbered Edition 260-page Collector's book on Shiva Ki is included in the sale, only 12 copies were printed. .
