LF&C Brass knuckle Trench knife


Description:
A US Model 1918 Mk 1 Trench Knife LF&C
World War I with a 6.70" bright double-edged blade length with pronounced median ridge on both sides.  About 11.5" overall with hilt. WWI-era US Model 1918 trench knife with sand cast brass hilt. And  Hilt cast with U.S. 1918 into the right side. . Capstan nut is the correct four-sided version. . These knives  were inspired by the French "Avenger" trench knife. These are the only brass knuckle US WWI fighting knives that might have seen service in the Great War.. A fine condition example overall. Blade clean , no rust no grinding stone sharpening, very sharp two edged blade.With razor sharp edgeses with a theatre made leather Carcano 1891 bayonet scabbard.
