Antique Breech Loading Cane Gun
Description: 19th century breech loading cane gun. Believed to be a .410 gauge bore. Wood veneer over a steel shaft with L handle made of antler. 30.25" barrel; breech marked 273 AG along with two unknown maker marks. Includes the original walking tip insert. 36" long overall with a 4" handle. In addition to their aesthetics, walking canes in the 19th century also served practical purposes. They were used by both men and women as a means of support while walking on uneven surfaces or for balance.
