U.S. MODEL 1840 CAVALRY SABER BY "AMES MFG.

Description:
Ames mfg. and dated 1848. U.S. inspector's stamps on the ricasso and pommel. Excellent leather grip and wire wrap all appearing to be the original. Excellent original polish on the blade. Scabbard appears to have been lightly cleaned at sometime.
