Description: Jean Tanazacq's PRAIRIE 1 is an extremely rare vintage prototype combat/fighting model with a 8-3/4" blade from 440-C stainless steel stock, large solid double brass guard, India Sambar stag handle, solid brass butt cap, deep initials engraving by the maker JPA, scarce double markings on blade: map of France and wild boar, brown leather sheath with wild boar carving on top, additional and scarce leather scabbard from Saint-Cirgues-de-Jordanne Special Parade Exhibition scabbard covered with fine ostrich leg's skin, knife was completed on October 17, 1984. Only a handful PRAIRIE 1 ( 4) were made with stag, but this model is the only one that was engraved,(butt cap) and offered with this unique presentation high-grade scabbard. It is a scarcity in toda's marketplace.
