For sale is this First Edition of The Catalog Collection of 20th Century Winchester Repeating Arms Co. by Roger Rule, published by Alliance Books, Inc. in 1984, 396 pages.  Book is new, hardbound with jacket, a special edition held in reserve, #32 of 50 of the Author’s Series (not pictured), numbered in 1984.  It is signed by the author.

The title describes the book as it covers all of the Winchester products that were made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in the last century before Western Arms purchased the company.  These were the golden years of Winchester. Products include: Pocket Knives, all Cutlery, Tools, Fishing Tackle, Flashlights (shown in color), Ice and Roller Skates, Guns and Ammunition with Winchester archival photographs of Firearms, a Firearms Production Summary of each model, and a complete catalog of Component Parts reproduced from 1931 that cover models even in the 19th century.  The preface is a history of guns and shows how Winchester fit in the big picture. (The pocket knife section alone goes from page 52 to page 76 roughly a dozen knives on each page.)  The guns and ammunition section shows engraving and carving types offered in the Custom Shop.

The material is a must for any Winchester collector and this special numbered volume is a collectible investment in and of itself.
