Zeiss Zeilklein Scope
Description: UPDATE, 8,23,/2024: Sale Pending to Kelly. A gentleman called today and asked about the clarity of the scope. I told him it was perfectly clear. While the picture of the scope shows the 3 post reticle, it doesn't make it seem that clear in the picture. But, I guarantee that it is. My friend's camera has 3 lenses, and when you take pictures, the lenses automatically want to shift back and forth. For those that might be interested, I will try taking a pictue with a "Lower Quality" camera phone and posting it. It may actually present a much better image than the one with the expensive camera phone. For sale is a Zeiss Zielklen Scope. It is in very good condition, considering the age. The serial number is # 27327. It was made in the late 1920's, according to the serial number. Please note . . The camera images distort some of the flaws when pictures are taken up close. There is some fading on the blue which I have pictured. The focus adjustment is a little stiff, but works as it should. No dents. The scope has a German "3 Post" reticle, and the class is clear (which is typical of these great scopes). The clarity is about the same as a newer scope. The three posts are perfectly aligned. With old metal items like this, you can get some "Flitz" polish, which is an anti-corrosion protector, and just keep rubbing the tube. It "softens" the marks and speckles. Dry it off, and then, rub oil on a silicone rag over the tube. Repear. Incidentally, I have used Birchwood Casey "Super Blue" and oil before to blend in and make metal look a lot better. I did not touch this scope, however, as some people want things completely orignal. If you want to know how I did this, just get in touch with me. Shipping and insurance are additional. Call or email if you have any questions. Thank you. SOLD |
