This is an original US Government Issue M84 Sniper Scope for an M1D Sniper Rifle.
It is in excellent condition. It was recently rebuilt by Iron Sight Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They cleaned all of the lenses, rebuilt the fixed power erector cell, re-sealed and purged it with nitrogen, and set the parallax to 150 yards. This scope is completely original except the latch clips for the turret covers have been removed. The hinges have built in springs that hold the covers shut. This was very likely done by a sniper to make it easier, quicker and quieter to make sighting adjustments in the field. These latches, like many things the government did, were redundent.
