Original WW2 M82 Sniper Telescope with Griffin & Howe Mount for early M1 Garand Rifle
Description: All original early WW2 M82 Sniper Telescope with it's original Griffin & Howe mount designed and used on early US M1 Garands. The M82 original scopes with mounts are truly more rare than the M1 Grand rifles they were to be used on. This scope and mount remains in excellent condition with 99.8 % + all original Blued finish. All parts are numberd, lenses are clear with the original tapered post reticle. Even the locking rings and mounts have all original blued finish. Please review all the pictures. The scope mount is marked under the scope Griffin & Howe Inc. Ney York, Pat. 1856.542 May 3,1932 and numbered 3692161. The Scope is roll marked TELESCOPE M82 SERIAL No. 41274 STOCK NO. F001-0084688. Adjusting block #7634571 & #7634671 and turn caps #7575280 & 7575180 are numbered. Front lens retainer ring #7575060 & rear lens shroud #7634670. A rare and desirable Military Sniper Scope for the WW2 American Sniper Rifle collector. This scope was sent back from WW2 by my uncle sn.35 795 946, T/5 BRIDGES, 66th Infantry Division, European Theater. Condition-Condition-Condition, You would never need to upgrade this beauty.
