A. H. Hardy Holster
SALE PENDING
Description: Holster by the famous Capt. Albert Howard Hardy, a Nebraska boy who made good. New and in unused condition. Fits the Ruger Single Six and similar with barrels to 5 1/2" Circa 1938-1950 Capt. Hardy, born in 1876, learned saddle making in Omaha, NE as a young man and then took up saddle making in the wild and wooley cattle town of Hyannis, NE in the Nebraska Sandhills. His trial for attempted murder in Hyannis is well detailed in a seven page article in the 2009 Guns Digest by my good friend Jim Foral. After his exoneration he became the exhibition shooter for the Peters Cartridge Company in 1906, then the largest ammunition company in the world. He was a pallbearer for Buffalo Bill Cody in 1917. In 1938 he retired in Beverly Hills and resumed his leather craft. He passed in 1950. This is an amazing find in remarkable condition. Article copy included. Price: $240.00 Contact Seller |
