Shiva Ki is a Louisiana knifemaker who makes his own Damascus, and sold his first knife in 1978. Shiva Ki genuine mammoth ivory large Damascus lock back folder with 1,250 Layers, mInt Condition early February 1978 Production wooden stand. 6-3/8 inches closed. 11-1/2 inches open. Front marking: SHIVA KI (logo) right side of blade 1250. Damascus steel blade,. nickel silver bolster and liner. Mint condition w/ wood display. Never used, never sharpened, never carried. No cracks, no wobble, smooth open/close function. This is another exceedingly scarce vitage knife as it is the absolute very first Damascus folder ever created by Shiva Ki (email from the maker is included). Shown in the 1981 extremely rare Shiva Ki knife catalog which is a rarity in today's marketplace. Note: In 25 + years of collecting Ki's knives, this is the only such Damascus folder I've ever seen and own, or even a non-Damascus model. They are an extreme rarity in the marketplace today, not that I know of any custom knife purveyors that ever had one for sale as well. NOTE: Special Limited Numbered Edition 260-page Collector's book on Shiva Ki is included in the sale,only 12 copies were printed. Sold "AS IS," all sales are final, no return, no exchange.
