Somewhat a Bowie Knife-but BETTER
Description: Here is (1) super rare Native American item that you most likely will NEVER see nor own one again..!..I am 85 and inherited this beauty from my Grt Gandfather-employed by the Northern Pacific Railrod--Minnesota-Washington state later 1800's. Story has that this was 'gifted to him from a Native American.due to near demise of the BUFFALO... Females(squaw) held the duty of clearing Buffalo hide by scraping off the flesh remaining under the 'outer hair tp prepare it for Tanning...This "blade simply IS deadly when used for such..but being formed from Natural stone-FLINT by 'chipping it to form the desired blade..straighter than a "steel rail" and will NEVER rust nor deteriorate..! an Antelope antler is attached to form the 'grip...The sheath is of deer or Moose hide and is made inside-out to keep the flint blade serviceable--the sheath is decorated by vintage old Trappers beads- tradefare which natives liked to embellish their moccasin footwear and outer wear incl.shirtsts/trousers etc.etc.the 'fringe is there to assist in drying the sheath when wet form rain as the fringe collects the dampness from the leather...The Apache w/1866 Display Rifle(Repro) is NOT included in this offering..but only thru a separate Sale....Items shipped from my AZ. home.
