Both knives are from 3/8" thick 1084 carbon steel stock, carved ebony handle with engraving by Wilton English and engraved brass escutcheon with fancy engraving "rope" motif all-around. Both knife have the seldom seen "roped" ricasso feature and the very rare markings BAGWELL,VIVIAN.La. This is the only set in exsistence and by far the most spectacular Bagwell's I ever had in collecting for over 43 years. The custom-made presentation wooden oak case has a slot for the original sharpening stone provided in the set.
