The association was an active anti-communist organization that supported law enforcement. You would donate and would be seen as one of the "Good Guys". This fine antique badge is solid sterling silver marked and maker marked also. It has an early safety pin closure and would date from the 1920's or 30's. The badge is heavy and measures 1 3/8 inches point to point. This badge is one of the most beautiful badges i have ever seen. Nice wear, awesome graphics with the Calif. grizzly bear too!
