M1 Garand Rifle Stock w SA JLG Cartouche.
Maybe Fake as SN on stock does Not match JLG SN's
Description: Got a USGI M1 Garand Rifle Stock USGI with a SA JLG Cartouche. The cartouche may be fake. Reason why thinking this. There is a serial number on the butt stock of 1741305. Doing an internet search shows that stock to be on Jun or July 1943 according to the serial number look up on Fulton Armory page. Doing a second internet search shows the serial number for JLG stocks were post war and 1950 to 1953 and serain number range 4,200,000 to 4,300,00 or only 100,000 rifles or rifle stocks have the JLG inspection stamp. There is no metal hardware on this stock. This is USGI and as you can see in the pictures and a servicable rifle stock, regardless of the cartouche I have no idea whatever those letters and numbers mean. My M1 Garand knowledge is "zilch" and am using the estate where this came from as the authority. NOTE: Look close at the pictures as the item you see is the one you get. We have about 50 to 60 more Garand Stocks and other components we will be listing so please keep checking our other listings. This came from the estate of one of 5 (five) FFL/SOT Gun Smith, Gun Store. The particular estate was an avid collector of Garands and components. This is from the collection or was inventory.
