A Very Early & Scarce 1830's Ornate Officers Sword With A Face On The Pommel In Very Nice Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The blade on the sword is nice throughout and retains nice etching with some of its original blue & gold gilt on it. The unique face on the top of the pommel and fancy grip are very unique with fine raised designs including a lion, a cross and other designs. The officers guard is engraved with military motifs including an eagle, a shield, stars, as shown in the photos. The deluxe grip is fine plus to excellent throughout. The brass scabbard is fine throughout and is engraved from top to bottom. It looks like there is a very old small sleeve repair in the scabbard that was definitely done during the 1800's. This matched the scabbard perfectly in color. This Is A Fine Looking Example Of A Scarce 1830's Very Ornate Officers Sword That is In Fine Untouched Condition. It Would look Wonderful In An Early Sword Or Military Collection!
