Handmade Pistol Thumb Brake

Experience pistol control like never before. Up for sale is a custom, hand made, all stainless steel (sans screw) pistol thumb brake. This is only the second one I have ever offered for sale. This one is designed to mount on your upper picatinny rail. Installation or removal takes less than a minute, which allows the user to switch from one firearm to another quickly. Designed to be mounted underneath your optic without having to remove the optic. The design also sits low on the picatinny rail so it will not interfere with sight picture when using open sights. It is also low enough that it can be used in front or behind a micro-dot sight. Using this brake allows the user to use the left hand for the majority of the grip (left index finger in front of trigger gaurd, see pictures) while requiring less grip with your right hand which helps alleviate the amount of left to right twist which happens when not maintaining the same amount of grip pressure throughout the shooting process. Most pro shooters will tell you to have a firm grip, but if you increase or decrease your grip pressure,during the shooting process, it makes the barrel move left to right relative to the amount of grip pressure you are applying. Using this style of grip also makes it easier to use a straight back trigger pull which enhances accuracy. It also eliminates the problem of an extended bolt release digging in to the base of your left thumb. Refer to picture of brake mounted on the Volquartsen Scorpion. If you want greater accuracy, less muzzle flip and faster followup shots, this brake will help you achieve that.
