Lot of 6 antique percussion caps tins.
Description: Most of these tins will date from around the civil war and all are empty. The first is a tin marked AMORCES CANNELEES FENDUES 100 G.D. OUALITE SUPERICEURE a French manufacturing company. The center of the label is crossed muskets and pistols. Label is in fine shape. Next is a tin from Hicks’ Percussion Caps 100 made in Waterburry CT. Label is in fair shape and mostly legible. Next we have a tin of Goldmark’s Percussion Caps F.R. CENTER FIRE 100. This label is good around the edges with the center losing some readability. Next is a HICKS ANTI-CORROSIVE PERCUSSION CAPS / MANU'D by AMER. FLASK & CAP / Waterbury, CT. This tin would have been 100 No. 12. The label is faint but still legible with a glass. The middle of label is worn away with time. The next is a tin with most of the label missing. The tin reminds me of a Eley tin, label is correct color. The last tin is plain with now markings.; SOLD |
