Description: An Early Civil War Type Ladder Badge Finely Inscribed To "Joseph S. Walker", "Co. K, Ohio 34th Infantry" Infantry" In Fine Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The badge is fine throughout & clearly marked as shown in the pictures. The badge is nicely engraveing. There is also a five pointed star with an "8" inside it engraved on the bottom piece of the badge. The badge is 2 1/2 inches in height and is 1 3/4 inches wide. Joseph S. Walker Enlisted On "9/12/1861" and mustered out on "9/13/1864." The 34th Ohio had very good history in the civil war. They lost 10 officers and 120 men in battle during the war. Soe Of their battles included, "Fayetteville, AR, Buck Ford, VA, Fayetteville, WV, Wytheville, VA, Cloyd's Mountain, VA, Lynchburg, VA, Winchester, VA, Opequan, VA, Fishers Hill, VA, Strasburg, VA, & Cedar Creek, VA.
