Excellent WWII M1905 Bayonet Union Fork & Hoe Dated 1942 in M1910 Scabbard
Description: This is a WWII produced M1905 bayonet manufactured by The Union Fork and Hole company in Columbus, Ohio dated 1942. In excellent condition the 20 1/2" OAL bayonet has a 15 3/4 inch unsharpened blade with 12 inch fullers and retains original storage grease covering virtually all of the original finish with only trace scuff marks from case wear. It is marked "U F H" over "US" / Flaming Bomb and "1942" on the ricasso. The black bakelite plastic grips rate excellent. It comes in a M1910 scabbard with metal throated canvas covered wooden body with leather tip that shows very minor age soiling but is otherwise excellent. A splendid example of the WWII produced Model 1905 bayonet housed in a M1910 scabbard. SOLD |
