Extremely rare original slide for a Colt 1911A1 made in 1937. This slide is 99% new original blue condition. It is only for a 1937, which only 2349 were manufactured for the Navy. P proofed on top as was correct for 37's and the 1924 Transition guns were not, and 1937 was the last year to have on the right side "MODEL OF 1911.U.S. ARMY'. So it's not for 1938-1941 guns. This slide is only for a 1937 Colt only. No serial number under firing pin stop. Never had one. This slide came out of an armorers tool chest at Raritan Arsenal many years ago. You'll probably never see a loose one again , especially in newist condition. Not for everyone, but if you need one for a correct gun this is your chance.
