Original Antique shotgun chaps
Description: Original shotgun chaps, marked "N. J. RABENSBURG MAKER PRICE UTAH" These nice chaps are from an estate sale. They have beautiful aged patina, on smooth dark brown leather. They have a great looking maker stamped belt, with classic large patch pockets. The leather is very flexible and would be wearable for pictures. The legs have 9 conchos down each laced leg seam, with thin cut fringe that you often see in old photos. All the original lacing is intact. Absolutely great original use patina. These chaps are an 1870s style pair from the River Junction private collection. Made of chaparejos leather. Upper sides and fly area re-enforced with a double layer of leather. Has two flap pockets with rolled leather buttons to secure them. The pocket flaps have the initials F. A. in brass spots. All stress points are intact. A unique feature is the hideout revolver pocket on the inside of the right leg. This little trick was done to hide a pistola when you were beyond the deadline in the old cow towns. My 1862 Police conversion is not included. The out-seam is 36 inches, the inseam 28 inches, the waist belt overall length is 31 inches. I think the belt was cut down to fit a skinny cowboy. If you were to wear them you might want to add some length to the belt. NOTE: The news paper clipping found in The Carbon County News in Price, Utah on Jul 3, 1913. Payment: Item, can be ordered on line with a credit card or paypal on our sight. Just Google (riverjunction) and type in the River Junction Trade Co. item number (5657) in the search box. Before you checkout you will see shipping cost and total. OR If you prefer: Pay by cash, postal money order, cashiers check, personal & business checks. We wait for checks to clear. We always answer questions and entertain offers. Have questions? Call me 563-880-4588. Jim SOLD |
