You won't be disapointed with this Bowie....Large D Guard Bowie 16 inches overall length, 11 inch 1/4 inch thick blade. Weighs slightly over 2 pds. Includes leather sheith. The bowie is solid no movement in grip or guard,. The guard has some aged heavy pitting as does the blade, one side of blade is not as pitted as the other may have been cleaned up long ago, not sure. Blade is sharp not sharpened recently. There is some staining on the blade about 2 inches from tip of knife and lightly on the other side of blade. The sheath is in fragile condition as pictured with a large section missing on top of the sheith. It has been sown in several spots attemped repair or to preserve, prevent further lose of leather, the area where split is. (See Photo's) . The piece of leather that the belt would go thru is actually broke loose but I manage to slip the end back under into the area that it was sown for display. It appears the leather where the damage is was in or very near a fire, that caused the leather to get birttle. The lower side of sheath is sown with a double twisted wire., Bowie fits snugly into sheath. This is a fantastic D Guard Bowie great addition to a collection.
