The ".460 Magnum" is a Mr. Van Horn's cretaion and is a .460 Weatherby Mag shortened to 2.5" in legnth to work on a standard .30-06 length (albeit very tough) actions. The ballistics show a 500 gr. bullet between 2250fps and 2300 fps. I think it is failry well known that Mr. Van Horn was mentor to Ryan Breeding who is also famous for his big bore rifles. I currenlty have a brand new Ryan Breeding .404 Jeffery in stock and the finish, sights, and muzzle breaks (seen on his ) are identical to this Van Horn gun's features that, I'm guessing is, 25 years old or so. Gun is in as new condtion and shows virtually no signs of being shot. The weighs 9 lbs 13.5 oz. and has a 14" LOP over a red London Guns pad.
