Description:
The U.S. PT. F. A MFG. Co. was the predecessor to the USFA (United States Firearms Mfg. Co.) Mfg. Co. and this Type I Single Action was the predecessor to their Single Actions. These early revolvers and their accessories were a combination of parts and labor by 23 different contractors (see list). In 1997 the company was renamed to USFA and their Single Actions were totaly produced at their factory in Hartford, CT. These early Type I's have a Uberti style hammer and are stamped "A UBERI-ITALY" in small letters on the bottom of the barrel. The case colors and blue are very well done by Turnbull Restoration and overall the firearm is very handsome. The condition is excellent plus and it comes in its original numbered to the gun box and all paper-work, including a factory letter for this gun.
