Description: The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries. The Traveler breaks down into two sections-the receiver/stock and the barrel/forend-for compact carry. This used 450 Dakota African Grade features an upgraded walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut checkering (wrap around on forend), an ebony forend tip and ebony cross bolt plugs. The satin finished stock has a metal grip cap and a Dakota Arms recoil pad yielding a 13 3/4” length of pull. A two blade quarter rib rear sight and a front banded, hooded gold bead front sight with flip up night sight sit atop the 24” barrel. The receiver is rust blued and the remaining metal is matte blued. The barrel band front and inletted rear sling swivel studs make installing a sling easy. The stock has some light handling marks from use. Overall, a very nice takedown rifle in excellent condition. Weight is 10.4 lbs. We prefer to communicate by email.
