Made in Sweden and a direct copy of the Finnish-manufactured L-35, the Lahti Husqvarna M/40 is a reliable pistol initially used in the Winter War with Russia in 1939-1940. The Swedish M40 has a larger trigger guard, no loaded chamber indicator, and lacks a bolt accelerator, which increased the reliability over the L-35.
This is a "D"-prefix pistol which was probably produced for the Danish Police, which had ordered 10,000 pistols, which were all numbered 5,000-15,000 with the "D" prefix and this gun is about 11,000. During WWII, the Swedes equipped some Norwegian and Danish officers.
This is an excellent example of a fairly scarce pistol with all the accoutrements. The pistol, holster, and tools are all present and in excellent condition. This was the standard issue pistol for the Swedish Army until 1988, when the Glock replaced it.

We ship firearms via UPS. Hand guns must travel via Air, whilst long guns and other items can go via Ground. Non-firearm accessories, such as magazines, can be shipped via USPS Priority Mail at the customer's request. We provide tracking numbers with all of our transactions.
